Leonel Alvarez Ceja
I am a philosopher currently in my second year of Ph.D. studies at the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University. I completed my B.A. in philosophy at UCLA. My primary research interests include Metaphysics (mereology, composition, fundamentality, modality, formal ontology, space, time, higher-order metaphysics); Logic (philosophical, mathematical, higher-order); Philosophy of Physics; Philosophy of Mathematics. I am advised by Nicholas Silins (advisor), Willow Starr, Kate Manne, Edward (Ned) J. Hall (Harvard University), and Achille C. Varzi (Columbia University)
That said, I am a generalist at heart (interested in just about everything philosophy). I hope my work will help me better understand the basic structure of reality (if there is one), what exists, what does not, and who we are; however, it turns out that reality is a lot harder to figure out than I originally thought.
